Hi, I am (or in the livings case was?) Kim Renee Woellner who went home on September 30th 2026 at the age of 63. I was born January 3, 1963 to my parents, Kenneth and Ann Pasholk, in the City of Merrill, WI. I graduated from Merrill High School in 1981 and earned a printing degree from North Central Technical Institute.
I married the love of my life, Keith Woellner, on March 17, 1984. I have (or had? Nope will always have) beautiful children who have had beautiful babies. My children and grandchildren made me so happy in life.
I worked at Wire Products for six years, Merrill Distributing for seven years, Wienbrenner Shoe Co. for 3 years and was part time bartender for Club Modern for two years. I finally got my dream job at the Wausau Daily Herald in 1998. I worked in pre-press until 2007 when I transferred to the creative services department. Well, the Herald outsourced my job in 2010 so I was out of work for a year and then did temp work for Northern Wire for a couple of months. In 2012 I was hired by Superseal which is now Sierra Pacific Industries. To my surprise, I loved making windows. The people I worked with and for are awesome!
I will be greeted at home by my daughter Karly Woellner, My mothers, Ann (Steinwand) Pasholk and Marleen Woellner, my fathers, Kenneth Pasholk and Donald Woellner, my niece, Sarah Hinke, my Brothers-in-law, Glenn McDonald and Robert Schots and all my Grands, and Great-Grandparents and of course, all my pets.
Hopefully, I will be missed by my husband, Keith Woellner (Merrill), Son, Kenneth (Ashley) Woellner (Rothschield), Daughter, Kristine (Matt Kerola) Woellner (Chippewa Falls), Grandson, Connor Woellner, Granddaughters, Lucy Woellner, Brooklynn Newton, Malena Kerola, and Bethany Kerola. Sisters, Kathy (Gary) Kasper (Merrill), Kerry (Ronald) Briggs (Irma), Kelly Pasholk (New Mexico), and Kay (Jason) Cram (Madison). Sisters/Brothers-in-law, Donna (Gary) Dietrich (Merrill), Steve (Mary) Woellner (Wausau), Linda (Robert) Schotz (Merrill), Patty (Glen) McDonald, (Irma), and Brian (Shanan) Woellner (Merrill) and many Nieces and Nephews.
I wrote my own obit so that my family would have one less thing to think about. Death can be so hard for the living. I get to go home now. Life sometimes has very difficult lessons to learn (I hope I learned enough!). I loved, loved my life even through the most difficult times. The people, my family, friends, work buds, school chums, even strangers on the street, all the different personalities in this small city, that I have lived in all my life, has made it fun and brought me great joy. I loved the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers through the good and the bad, well we all have those times!
I say farewell for now and I thank you all for getting me through the good times, as well as the bad.
Celebration of Life will be held at S & S Bar, 418 Grand Ave, Merrill, WI 54452, October 25th at 12:00 pm. Friends and family are welcome to come share stories and celebrate Kim’s life.
