Florence Mary Ruprecht

Florence Mary Ruprecht, 86, of Merrill, formerly of 112 E. 4th Street, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Pine Crest Nursing Home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.

Florence Mary Ruprecht, 86, of Merrill, formerly of 112 E. 4th Street, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Pine Crest Nursing Home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.

She was born in Merrill on May 18, 1924 to the late Joseph and Mary (Durick) Ruprecht.
Florence was employed at Lincoln Cleaners for many years and then in clerical work at Ward Paper Mill until her retirement. She had attended Holy Cross High School and was an active member of St, Francis Catholic Parish. Among her many interests, Flo enjoyed golfing and traveling, especially her many trips to Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Survivors include her nephews and nieces: Michael Ruprecht, Patrick Ruprecht, Dennis Ruprecht, Margie (Michael) Stark, all of Fort Wayne, IN, and Kevin (Virginia) Mack, of Waukesha, WI; one sister-in-law: Mary Ruprecht-Taylor, Fort Wayne, IN; and very special friend: Mary Jane Nielson, Merrill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Ruprecht; one brother, Dennis Ruprecht; one sister, Veronica Duncan -Smith; and several nieces.
Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, February 11th at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Mike McLain will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
