Kindhearted Home Care LLC is a new Merrill-based business that provides in-home assistance to the elderly and others with short-term or long-term needs.
Diane Goetsch saw a need for services to people who wished to stay in their own homes, but needed some extra help to do so. She started Kindhearted Home Care LLC to fill that need.
The Kindhearted Home Care staff works to provide services that help relieve the need for nursing home care.
“There is a growing need due to the demographics of the area,” Diane said. “We can provide the services they need to stay in their home longer.”
Kindhearted Home Care serves Lincoln County and the surrounding area. The home care workers provide short term or long term services including post operative assistance, shopping and errands, meal planning and preparation, laundry/linen washing and ironing, grooming and dressing assistance, housekeeping, companionship and conversation, respite care for family, and coordinate and schedule appointments.
Diane has seen her business over the past few months since she started Kindhearted Home Care. She now has a staff of 10 part-time employees, all of whom have been carefully screened due to the personal nature of the work.
“The more calls I got, the more I needed to add employees,” she said.
The home care services also lighten the load of family members who are caring for their parents, spouses or children through respite care.
Every client has unique needs, Diane said. Kindhearted Home Care offers a confidential consultation to assess the needs of each prospective client.
