Westside Market bourbon raffle raises $4,080 for Never Forgotten Honor Flight

Posted

Westside Market in Merrill marked its ninth anniversary this spring with a bourbon raffle that raised $4,080 for the Never Forgotten Honor Flight.
Tickets for the “Right to Purchase” raffle cost $20 each and entered buyers into a drawing for 17 prizes, including bottles of Pappy Van Winkle 12-year, Elijah Craig 18-year, and Knob Creek 21-year, along with other top-shelf bourbons donated for the occasion. Winners were drawn May 17, 2026, and every dollar from ticket sales went to the Never Forgotten Honor Flight.
Store owner Mark Raymer, a Marine Corps veteran, organized the raffle and presented the donation to Jim Campbell of the Never Forgotten Honor Flight earlier this summer.
“I think that was a pretty decent number for a 30-day raffle,” Raymer said.
“I served 24 years in the Marine Corps and did four deployments,” Raymer said. Since being discharged from the Marine Corps, he purchased Westside Market on Merrill’s west side and has invested in purchasing and improving other properties within the community.

Westside Market is located at 1504 W. Main St. in Merrill and is open seven days a week.
