Posted

Piper Plautz, a Senior at Calumet College of St. Joseph, Ind., had a stand-out performance in her final collegiate bowling tournament, capturing the Hoosier Classic title in Indianapolis with a commanding performance. Competing against a field of more than 350 female bowlers, Plautz delivered an outstanding series of games, posting scores of 231, 257, 272, 214, and 224 for a total of 1198 pins. Her stellar 239.6 average propelled her to a decisive 38-pin victory over her closest competitor from Georgia. Adding to the achievement, Plautz also outscored all the more than 400 male bowlers in the event—a testament to her skill and competitive drive.
A native of Merrill, Plautz is the daughter of Beaver and Heather Plautz. Her dominant performance at the Hoosier Classic cements her legacy as one of the top collegiate bowlers in the country.
