Opioid Task Force offers grants to fight the opioid crisis

Posted

The Lincoln County Opioid Settlement Task Force recently announced a new grant program using money received from a national legal settlement with major drug companies over the widespread damage caused by opioid misuse. This funding will support projects across the county to combat the serious problems caused by the opioid crisis with the goal of making a lasting difference by supporting community ideas, offering direct help, and finding long-term solutions to the opioid epidemic.
The Task Force has created a plan to distribute this money openly and fairly.
“We believe that the best ideas will come from our local community,” said Erin Ray, Opioid Settlement Task Force Coordinator. “We are eager to see the creative projects organizations propose to help our residents and make a real impact with this funding.”
To apply for funding, see the official funding proposal on the Lincoln County website. Go to co.lincoln.wi.us/health/page/community-mini-grants.
Local community groups, nonprofitorganizations, government agencies, schools, and other organizations that serve youth and families are encouraged to apply for a grant. Applications must be received by 4:59 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2026.
For more details or questions about the application, call Erin Ray, Lincoln County Health Department, at 715.536.0307 or email LCHealth@co.lincoln.wi.us.
