The following donations were approved and/or accepted at the Aug. 20, 2025, Merrill Area Public Schools (MAPS) Board of Education (BOE) meeting: a monetary gift from O’Reilly Auto Parts valued at $100 for Prairie River Middle School (PRMS) cheer uniforms; the following monetary gifts for the Merrill High School (MHS) Girls Tennis Program: Terx Shredding & Recycling $100, Burgener Contract Carriers, LTD. $100, Breaman Merrill Ford $150, and Fraternal Order of Eagles $100; a check from IncredibleBank valued at $350 to pay for the rental fee at the MARC for the Back-to-School Bash; and the following donations for new equipment and warm ups for the MHS Girls Tennis Program: Health in Motion $100 and Sierra Pacific $1,000.
The following donations were approved and/or accepted at the Sept. 24, 2025, MAPS BOE meeting: a check from Brickners Park City valued at $200 for Back-to-School Bash t-shirts for the volunteers; school supplies from Dick and Kathy Martens valued at $100 for students in need at Kate Goodrich (Kate); a cooking raffle basket from Taher Food Service valued at $130 for encouraging participation in the United Way fundraiser; snacks from the Park City Credit Union Share the Care Program valued at $59 for providing snacks to the Bluejay Nests in the MAPS School District; school supplies from North Central Wisconsin Indivisible valued at approximately $50 for the District Bluejay Nests and helping students in need; snack bags from Inclusa Family Care valued at $300 for the District Nests and helping students in need; school supplies from Weinbrenner Shoe Company valued at $200 for the PRMS supply drive and $250 for student use at Washington Elementary School (Washington); school supplies from Bell Tower Residence valued at $200 for student use at Washington; a gift of money from Debbie Moellendorf valued at $750 for MHS SkillsUSA; the following donations for the MAPS United Way Fundraiser—gift certificates from Hugo’s Pizza valued at $50, from Los Mezcales valued at $100, and a gift card from Rain Auto Wash valued at $100; four gift cards for 14” pizzas from Hugo’s Pizza valued at $80 for door prizes at the Prairie River School for Young Learners (PRSYL) Family Pizza Night; money from Judy Bialecki valued at $200 for the MHS Bluejay Nest; money from Merrill Area United Way valued at $974 for the Kate, Washington, PRMS, and MHS Bluejay Nests ($243.50 each); funds from Kristi Krombholz valued at $100 for providing students at PRSYL with anything necessary that they may need in school; and a check from the Merrill Noon Optimist Club valued at $500 for teen mental health first aid in the MHS sophomore health class.
