To the Editor:
Fill the Gazebo had a great event again this year, despite the rainy day. We collected 1,057 pounds of food and $7,165 in monetary gifts. Everything collected will be divided between the Merrill Community Food Pantry, Trinity’s Open Hearts Food Pantry, New Testament’s His Hands Extended Food Pantry, and the Food for Kids program.
We changed our event to June from August to help support the food pantries in the summer, when the need is stronger.
We have a Culver’s Day on July 17, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. Make sure to plan your dinner at Culver’s that day.

Thank you to the committee and volunteers that helped at the Gazebo for the food drive.
Thank you also to the individuals, businesses, and organizations that have made contributions each year such as; Sierra Pacific, Merrill Eagles, Merrill Lions Club, Breaman Merrill Ford, Ascension Episcopal Church, Christ United Methodist Church, St Stephens United Church of Christ, Trinity Lutheran Church, and New Testament Church.
We plan to do Fill the Gazebo the second Saturday of June each year. We will accept donations through July at St. Stephens United Church of Christ.

- Fill the Gazebo Committee
Cheryl Buck, chairman

Merrill, Wis.
