June Marie Krueger (nee Stine) passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the age of 89, she was born on September 10, 1935, in Merrill, WI, daughter of the late Hamilton and June (nee Jourdan) Stine. June was a 1954 Merrill High School Graduate. She married the love of her life Robert “Bob” Krueger on September 1, 1954, in Bessemer, MI. She worked at Pine Crest Nursing Home for many years and retired in 2002.
June lived a full and vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and a knack for making every moment special. She was an avid fisherman, finding joy and serenity on the water, always eager to reel in the next big catch. A gifted baker, her cakes were legendary, each one crafted with care and love. Her creativity knew no bounds—if she set her mind to something, she could make it. Whether it was sewing, crafting, or fixing things, there was nothing she couldn’t do.
She cherished time spent playing cards and cribbage, always up for a friendly competition, and she never passed up an opportunity to visit the casino. More than anything, she was the heart of her family—a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her loving family, including children Sherry (Dan) Knorr, Kim Robinson, Becky (Dan) Krause, and Ann Marie (Lawrence) DiMatteo; grandchildren John (Jodi) Knorr, Nathan (Sarah) Knorr, Jerry (Nicole) Robinson Jr., Jennifer (fiancé Matt Pulliam) Robinson, Eric (Jami) Krause, Amanda (James) Draxler, and Lorenzo (Debbie) DiMatteo; great-grandchildren Earl (fiancée Katie), Quentin, Gabe, and Sam Knorr, Joanne Robinson, Azalea Blake, Grayson, Benton, and Bianca Krause, Wesley and Amelia Draxler; great-great- grandchildren Kinsley Knorr and Justin Ray Running. She is further survived by sisters-in-law Lori Stine and Judith Stine, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, brothers Edwin (Grace) Stine, James Stine, and Dale Stine, and sister Gloria (Charles) Minesal Sr.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 11:00am until 12:45pm, with the funeral service at 1:00pm, at Phillip Funeral Home 1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend.
