Lincoln County Health Department (LCHD) will offer walk-in flu shot clinics every Wednesday starting Sept. 17 through Nov. 19, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The clinics are located at 607 N. Sales Street, Suite 101, in Merrill. Both regular and high-dose flu vaccines will be available while supplies last, and no appointments are necessary.
According to the LCHD, an annual flu vaccine is recommended for everyone 6 months and older every fall as the best way to protect against getting the flu.
Security Health Plan, United Health Care, Medicare Part B, and Railroad Retirement insurance plans, cash, checks, and credit cards are all accepted.
It takes up to two weeks for the flu vaccine to take full effect, and vaccination can lead to milder symptoms if someone does contract the flu, the LCHD said.
For questions about the clinics, call 715.536.0307 or email LCHealth@co.lincoln.wi.us.
