Earth Day volunteer cleanup set for Council Grounds this Saturday

Council Grounds State Park will host a volunteer cleanup event on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon as part of Wisconsin State Parks’ celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day. Area families, individuals, clubs, and groups are invited to participate.
Volunteers will help rake campsites, clear trail debris/small branches, and collect trash to prepare the park for summer visitors. Water to fill your water bottles, plastic gloves, and some rakes will be provided. Participants should wear appropriate footwear and bring their own work gloves.
Members of the Friends of Council Grounds will direct volunteers to work areas. Vehicle admission fees will be waived for volunteers, making it an opportunity to bring lunch and enjoy the park afterward.
