Diaper Closet helps area families

The Love the Littles Diaper Closet at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 300 Logan St. in Merrill, is helping area families with an expensive item in their monthly budgets. This expense racks up due to the sheer volume needed every month, and that expense, as you may have guessed, is diapers.
Held on the second Tuesday of each month from 3-5 p.m. and the fourth Saturday of each month from 9-11 a.m., families can visit the Love the Littles Diaper Closet at the church (across from Prairie River Middle School) to receive one package of diapers or pull-ups per visit at no cost, with a limit of 12 visits per year.
In addition to diapers for babies and toddlers, and pull-ups for the little ones getting potty trained, adult diapers are also available. Please use the ramp and entrance by the church’s north parking lot.
There is no screening and no financial or other guidelines participants must meet in order to participate, and organizers say maintaining the privacy of those who use this service is very important to them.
