Correction to honorary street names article

In the Foto News article published Jan. 7, 2026, regarding honorary street names, the authors noted that Sgt. Carl Schenzel, whose plane went missing in January of 1945, was the only service member listed as MIA from Merrill in World War II in the Pacific Theater. In fact, Lt. Robert F. Russell from Merrill is also listed as MIA in the Pacific Theater. Lt. Russell made the ultimate sacrifice in November of 1944, making Schenzel the second such Merrill service member. Confusion over which theater of war the men went missing in led to the error.
