Area students name new Merrill plow truck

The City of Merrill invited area third- and fourth-grade students to brainstorm suggestions for the name of Merrill’s new snow plow truck. Students from grades three and four in all Merrill area schools, both public and parochial, including Washington Elementary School, Trinity Lutheran School, St. John Lutheran School, St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, and NTC Christian Academy were involved.
Students came up with names and then the City held a vote on Facebook for the community to pick their favorite.
And the name selected was ... “Snow Boss!”
City of Merrill officials wanted to thank all the students for the great name ideas and the community who voted.
