April 29
At 2:00 p.m, a caller reported the theft of a camera from his vehicle sometime in the past few days.

At 2:19 p.m, a male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

At 3:07 p.m, a caller reported the theft of a skate board from his vehicle sometime within the past few days.

At 3:41 p.m, a caller reported someone had stolen checks from his vehicle in Wausau and two checks were cashed at a Merrill bank. A suspect is known. Investigation is ongoing.

At 4:31 p.m, a male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

At 5:56 p.m, a caller reported she had been at a store and received a $20 bill back following her purchases. She forgot to take that $20 and went back a moment later to find it gone. Officers reviewed surveillance video and a male can be observed taking the $20 bill from the machine after the caller departed. Officers have photos of the man and will be attempting to identify him.

April 30
At 1:25 p.m, officers responded to the office of probation and parole to take a female into custody for a probation violation. The female was then transported to the jail.

May 2
Officers responded to a report of a heavily intoxicated male party that was having issues at his home. Officers learned that the male is prohibited from alcohol consumption due to an open criminal bond. The male party was arrested for the bail jumping violation.

May 3
At 11:52 a.m, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint. The caller advised they had video of a male juvenile stealing a tube of anti-itch cream. Investigation is ongoing.

At 5:09 p.m, an officer met with a female party at the police department who wanted to report harassment happening to her mother. The officer made phone contact with the victim and the information received was found to be civil in nature. A civil standby was set up for the male party who was having civil issues with the victim. When the male party later went to the residence to obtain his personal items, the initial caller began causing a disturbance. Due to her escalation, she was eventually told she was going to jail and began physically fighting with the officer. An electronic control device was deployed. Two female parties were arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting an officer and the initial caller was also charged with battery to law enforcement.

At 8:31 p.m, an officer took a complaint of a domestic incident. The female party advised her ex-boyfriend had kicked in her apartment door causing damage and she was struck by the door and had an injury to her forehead. A report was completed with the female and the male party will be charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property.

May 4
At 10:03 p.m, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The female driver displayed signs of impairment and was placed through field sobriety tests, which she failed. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense.

May 5
At 5:15 p.m, officers responded to a domestic incident. A female party had struck her ex-husband. Officers made contact with the female party who was yelling and cursing. The female was detained. Officers spoke with the male party who advised the female struck him in the arm. The entire incident was recorded on video. The female party was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and was transported to the jail.

At 6:25 p.m., officers responded to a domestic incident. The neighbors had called advising they could hear a male party yelling and cursing and he was throwing things around. The neighbors then saw a male party strike a female party in the arm. The male suspect then began yelling and cursing at the caller. Officers arrived on scene and located chairs flipped over. The female advised she had pain when she was struck by the male. The male was arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

May 6
At 12:00 p.m. a caller reported a vehicle traveling in excess of 60mph near the area of Memorial Dr and East 14th St. A vehicle description and plate were reported. The suspect vehicle was identified and the investigation continues.

At 11:54 p.m. a caller reported seeing a male party looking in parked vehicle in the area of East 3rd and Kyes St. It was reported that the male was observed entering a vehicle in a driveway. Officers located the described person and determined he was in possession of property belonging to others. Additional victims were identified. The police department has been handling an increased amount of vehicle entries. All vehicle entered have been found to have been left unlocked. Please lock your vehicles.
