The Merrill Police Department is currently investigating damage done to the gazebo, located at Normal Park on North Center Avenue.
On Tuesday, April 2 at approximately 1:43 p.m. the Merrill Police Department responded to reported fire damage to the gazebo at Normal Park. Upon arrival, the responding officer observed a post on the northwest side of the structure which appeared to have been burnt. The charred area of the post measured approximately four feet up the length of the post. A small portion of burnt grass was also discovered near the post. The damage is thought to have been done sometime between Friday, March 29 and Tuesday April 2.
