On Thursday, April 4, Mitch Skurzewski became the newest member of the Merrill Foto News team as a full-time reporter.
An Athens native, Skurzewski holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications from UW-Stevens Point. Prior to joining the Merrill Foto News, Skurzewski worked with Gannett Newspapers.
Beginning with the Wausau Daily Herald in 2008, Skurzewski served as a Sports Copy Editor and Multi-Media Reporter. Then in 2015, Skurzewski joined the Marshfield New Herald as a “Going Out” Reporter, covering local business and restaurant features. In stepping into his new role with the Merrill Foto News, Mitch will serve in a variety of reporting capacities including sports and local government coverage.
