A 41-year old Merrill man was arrested Wednesday evening for violating the terms of his probation.

A 49-year old Tomahawk man was arrested Friday evening on three misdemeanor charges, including violating a restraining order and bail jumping; after deputies investigated an incident in the Town of Bradley. The investigation began after it was reported the suspect had contact with two people who have a restraining order in place prohibiting contact.

Two Merrill men, ages 18 and 19, were arrested Saturday evening on drug charges after the Recreation Deputy checked on campers at a county campground. When the Rec. Deputy exited his truck he smelled the odor of marijuana. Both men were found to be in possession of the drug along with drug paraphernalia. They were also charged with bail jumping.

A 47-year old Aniwa woman was arrested early Sunday morning on a criminal traffic charge. Just after 5 a.m. a deputy located a vehicle off the road on State Rd 17 at Smith Rd, in the Town of Merrill. The woman showed signs of impairment and was placed through field sobriety tests. She was arrested for a third offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and was also cited for driving on a revoked license.

Eight people reported striking deer this past week.
