MHS junior Christian Matson has emerged as a key asset for the Wausau-East/Merrill Bluejack co-op hockey program this past season from his center position. A four-year starter for the Bluejacks, Matson also competes on the Bluejay Boys Soccer team in the spring as a forward. In his free time, Christian enjoys spending time with friends and family in the outdoors, especially swimming and water skiing during the summer months. Son of John and Sue Matson of Merrill, Christian currently maintains a 3.5 GPA. Following graduation this spring, Matson hopes to attend and play hockey at a 4-year university. Although undecided on a major, Matson is considering entering into medical field.
