Stephen R. ‘Stevie’ Weber

Stephen R. ‘Stevie’ Weber, 57, of Merrill, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Stevie was born December 26, 1961 in Milwaukee, son of the late John G. and Patricia M. (Gibson) Weber. Stevie was adevout Catholic and parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of the Merrill community. For over 35 years Stevie was employed with Lincoln Industries in Merrill. Stevie expressed his love in so many ways; a look, a smile, a squeeze, “guess what” or “look who’s here!”   He took joy in simple things – the joy in going to church and in singing.  He loved Jesus!  He loved Scooby Doo and cheering on the Packers.  But most of all, Stevie enjoyed being around his family showing them what he knew and what he could do. His Christ-like excitement for life, caring, and love was an example we will always remember.

Stevie is survived by seven siblings, Joan Weber (Linda Gerrior) of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, Sue (Dennis) Vernick of Wausau, John (Sally) Weber of Fort Myers, FL, Nancy (Scott) Willis of Spring Valley, MN, Ann (Ron) Meyer of Plymouth, MN, Tom (Kathy) Weber of Richland, WA, and David (Jill) Weber of Merrill; 14 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank Steve’s extended family: his roommates, current staff at Our Way, Inc. and Lincoln Industries staff and friends for the love and care they provided for Stevie, as well as his many teachers, his bus driver, and all other community members who showed him kindness and compassion— we are truly humbled and grateful for your presence in his life.
