Mrachek named MHS November Youth Optimist of the Month

Rylee Mrachek was chosen as Merrill High School Youth Optimist for the month of November; nominated by Ms. Kasie Holt.

Ms. Holt states, “As her counselor and volleyball coach, I truly feel like Rylee does it all. She is a musician, an athlete, a lifeguard and an excellent student . Despite her full schedule, she maintains a 4.0 GPA. In what little free time she has left, Rylee finds time to volunteer. Whether it be through her church, sports or other extra curricular activities, she is always thinking of ways to give back to her community.” Ms. Holt adds.

“Rylee is one of those students that makes others around her shine. She always has a smile on her face and a positive outlook on any situation. Through her athletic programs, Rylee has learned how to be a trustworthy team player. Rylee would stand out as the compassionate individual that her teammates can lean on. Rylee also goes above and beyond to make those in her presence welcomed and included.”

School activities Rylee is involved in are basketball, volleyball, band, Student Council, Octagon Club, Tri-M Honors Society, LEAD member, and Link Crew Leader. She has received recognition for State Solo Ensemble, Academic All Conference, State Volleyball, Volleyball Conference Champions, and North Central Honors Recital-piano.
