Merrill Police reports

January 11
6:08 a.m.- Officers responded to a suspicious person complaint. A gas station had called police as a male party was acting suspicious inside the store and they believed he had stolen items. Contact was made with the male, who displayed signs of drug use. The male was found to have stolen items and also had drug paraphernalia on his person. He was cited for retail theft and was taken to jail on the drug paraphernalia.
8:24 p.m.- Officers were dispatched to a domestic incident. The caller stated her brother had spit in her face during an argument. After the investigation was completed, the female was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct for striking her brother during the argument. She was transported to the jail.

January 12
1:23 p.m.- An officer took a complaint of damage to property. Sometime during the night, an unknown person had thrown a rock through the window of a vehicle belonging to the caller. Investigation is ongoing.
8:43 p.m.- An officer responded to an ATV complaint. A female had called about her neighbor revving an ATV and was racing around with it. Contact was made with the male neighbor who was given a warning for his behavior. At 9:48 p.m., the female called back advising the male neighbor was doing the same actions again. The male neighbor was cited for disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle.

January 13
4:23 p.m.- Officers responded to a retail theft complaint. A male party had concealed a socket set in his jacket and was confronted by employees. The male did turn over the sockets and fled from the store. Officers attempted to locate the suspect and the investigation is ongoing.

January 14
10:10 p.m.- Officers responded to a domestic incident. The caller stated that they had gotten into an argument which led to an injury. It was caused by the female party being flipped off a mattress causing her to strike her face on the window sill. This caused a large bump and laceration. Upon the completion of the investigation, the male party was taken into custody for domestic disorderly conduct and was transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
