A 26-year-old Merrill man was arrested Monday on a warrant from the Merrill Municipal Court for failing to pay a fine.

A 20-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested Monday night on a drug charge. A deputy stopped the vehicle the man was operating for an equipment violation just before 8 p.m. When the deputy made contact with the driver he detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A baggie of marijuana was located and seized.

A 19-year-old Minocqua man was arrested Tuesday morning on a drug charge. A deputy stopped the vehicle the man was a passenger in. The K9 Poncho alerted to the odor of illegal drugs in the vehicle and a search turned up marijuana. The passenger claimed possession of the drug and he was arrested on the misdemeanor charge.

A 21-year-old Merrill woman was arrested Wednesday evening on charges of battery and disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a report of a battery in the Town of Merrill.

A 47-year-old Illinois woman was injured Thursday evening after a snowmobile crash on Lake Nokomis. The woman as riding across the ice on her snowmobile when she struck a snow bank which caused her to roll the sled and be ejected from the machine. The woman from Palos Hills, Illinois, was transported to Ascension Sacred Heart hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 40-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested Friday evening just before 6 p.m. following a traffic stop in the Town of Merrill. When the deputy made contact with the driver he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver admitted to possession of the drug and he was taken into custody on charge of possession.

A 47-year-old Tomahawk woman will face a criminal traffic charge after rolling her vehicle Friday night in the Town of Merrill. The woman was traveling south on County Rd. K when she lost control of her vehicle rolling it over at Duginski Road. Deputies are awaiting blood tests but will likely forward charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated third offense and operating on a revoked license.

A 22-year-old De Pere man was arrested early Saturday morning on a criminal charge after a UTV crash in the Town of Harrison. The man was operating a UTV with two passengers on a trail off of Pine Lake Road around 1:30 a.m. when a branch hanging over the trail struck the passenger. A 50-year-old De Pere man was transported for non-life threatening injuries. The driver was arrested for causing injury by intoxicated use of a UTV.

A 24-year-old Oshkosh man was cited early Sunday morning following a traffic stop. A deputy stopped the vehicle the man was driving after he observed it cross the center line numerous times. The man showed signs of impairment and agreed to perform field sobriety tests before he was cited for a first offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

A pole barn was destroyed in an early morning fire Sunday in the Town of Harding. The first arriving deputy on the scene found heavy smoke and fire coming from the building when he arrived. No injuries were reported.

Three people received minor injuries after a single vehicle rollover Saturday afternoon in the Town of Merrill. All of the occupants refused medical transport.

A total of nine people reported striking deer this past week.
