Library presents family fun programming in the New Year

Can’t make it to the library during the daytime? Enjoy free family fun at the T. B. Scott Library monthly on Thursdays from 6–7 p.m. on the 2nd floor in the Youth Services Department. Under age 3 must be accompanied by an adult.

January 17- Join us as Northwoods Wildlife Center presents: Birds of Prey. Unique adaptations help these special birds hunt and survive. Come learn about a few and meet one or two of these birds up close and personal.

January 31 – (Special Hours 5–6 p.m.) Stuffed Animal Sleepover. Children ages 3–7 are invited to visit the library in their pajamas with their special stuffed animal friend for a special Stuffed Animal Sleepover storytime. Children will share stories, songs, and fun with their friends. Then they will leave their friend at the library for a “sleepover” during which the stuffed animals will participate in adventures at the library – all captured on photos! Children will receive their stuffed animal and a personalized picture frame with photos of their friend’s sleepover library fun.

February 28 – Dr. Seuss Day. Families are invited to join us for a special party as we celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. We will share some Dr. Seuss stories and enjoy snacks and crafts all inspired by the wonderfully unique Dr. Seuss.

March 28 – Brodini Comedy Magic Show. Graylyn Morris will be paying us a visit all the way from the Twin Cities and combining his special blend of magic, humor, fun, surprise and audience participation into a thoroughly entertaining show.

April 25 – (This event is jointly hosted with Merrill Rocks.) Meet Stepheni Curran, author of the book “Rock On, Kindness! Pass It On!” Stepheni’s book focuses on the themes of rock painting, kindness, compassion, diversity, acceptance and friendship. She’ll share her book and we’ll share some fun painting rocks.
