Yvonne S. Annis, age 77 of Gainesville, Florida passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. She was born July 13, 1941 in Merrill, Wisconsin to William and Martha (Batzer) Kienbaum. She graduated from Merrill High School in 1959 and Wisconsin School of Cosmetology in 1960. She married James T. Annis July 13, 1963.
Yvonne worked in several beauty shops in Merrill until 1975, when she opened Yvonne’s Beauty Salon. She worked there until her retirement in 2000. She worked part-time as an instructor at a cosmetology school in Wausau, Wisconsin in the late 80s. She also performed some part-time work at a day care center for the elderly and opened a beauty salon for the elderly in a Merrill high rise.
After retirement, Yvonne and Jim moved to Florida to be near their son. She loved cooking and baking along with arts and crafts and genealogy.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William and Daniel of Merrill, Wisconsin.
She is survived by her husband, James, and son, Christopher, both of Gainesville and her sister, Eileen Kienbaum of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 9700 W Newberry Road, with Rev. Alan Struckmeyer officiating.
