A 58-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested Monday afternoon on a warrant charge. The man appeared in Lincoln County Court on an unrelated matter and a check by the Court Security Deputy found he was wanted by the Oneida County Sheriff for contempt of court.

A 21-year-old Merrill woman was taken into custody Monday after a deputy investigated a vehicle in the ditch. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed through field sobriety tests. She was cited for a first offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

A 49-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested Friday for violating the terms of his probation. Deputies went to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections – Probation and Parole Office Friday afternoon to take the man into custody at the request of the department.

A 31-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested Saturday morning on a felony charge after a traffic stop. The driver showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for a fourth offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 25-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested early Sunday evening after a traffic stop in the Town of Skanawan. A deputy stopped the vehicle on US Hwy. 51 near County Rd. S for speeding. When the driver was informed that the K9 Nina had arrived on the scene he admitted his vehicle contained marijuana. A subsequent searched turned up one pound of the drug. The driver was arrested on felony charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

The number of deer crashes has risen slightly with ten being reported this past week.
