Merrill Historical Society’s (MHS) “Holiday Highlights” Display will have an Open House on Saturday, Dec. 15 with special hours from 1-5 p.m. on that day. Light refreshments will be served for the opening day.
Some of the highlights of this display will be a mini-exhibit through the decades of women’s hat styles from the collection of the Merrill Historical Society; also featured will be some of the many musical instruments in the Society’s collection; and a display case to bring back memories of the toys we played with in the 1940s and ‘50s. A few other surprises await the visitor along with a case of beautiful antique pickle casters and fruit dishes some featuring cranberry glass.
This exhibit will be up through January, but we invite you to join us on the 15th for our afternoon hours, as the Holiday display is most attractive after dark.
MHS wishes to thank all the members who have loaned some of their items and the exhibit committee that worked to bring this display together to offer some memories about Merrill through the holidays.
As an added treat, Page Milk and Merrill’s Dairies exhibit is nearing completion and should be ready for the Dec. 15 Open House.
