A 27-year-old Gleason woman was arrested Wednesday evening after a traffic stop in the Town of Birch. The K9 Nina alerted to the odor of illegal drugs in the vehicle which resulted in the woman being charged with a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine as a repeat offender, and misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting/obstructing both as repeat offenders.
The Recreation Deputy assisted a horse owner Saturday afternoon in the Town of Bradley. The resident phoned the sheriff’s office just before 4 p.m. to report her horse had run off and would not return. The Rec Deputy was in the area and was able to quickly locate the horse. The Rec. Deputy was able to lead the animal out of the woods and return it to its owner.
The number of deer crashes has gone down with only nine being reported this past week.
