DIY: Making the Holiday simple at T.B Scott Library

The hustle and bustle of the holiday season has begun and T.B. Scott Free Library would like to help make your holiday gifting just a little bit simpler this year. The library will have several area crafters and creators on display with a few simple ideas for your gift giving.
Here is a sample of our local visionary artisans that will have ideas on display: D’Lacey Haight, Sue Hass, Jo Wengeler, Holly Behrens and Maggie Krzanowski.
Included with each display will be simple directions on how you can quickly and easily create these gifts at home for little cost. As part of the event, attendees will have the opportunity to choose one of two take-home DIY Holiday Gifts that you will create and take home with you that day: Choice #1—Holiday Sweetness in a Mason Jar; or Choice #2—Holiday Silhouette in an Upcycled Paper-Folded Book. This event serves as the second in a series of hands-on how-to Book Upcycle Workshops and a Holiday DIY Gifting Solution Center. For this event, attendees are not required to bring anything but themselves to the library. The library will have all of the supplies.
Come to the Community Room at the T.B. Scott Free Library on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. for this holiday event as the Library and local crafters and creators share some fabulous DIY holiday gift ideas. The library will have books on hand for you to choose from or, if registrants have a book of their own they wish to share with someone as a special handmade gift, they are welcome to bring it along. Registration is strongly recommended for this program, as supplies are limited. Please call 715-536-7191 to reserve your spot for this fun activity. Holiday refreshments and snacks will be provided.
For further information, please contact Laurie Ollhoff at 715-536-7191 or [email protected]. Refreshments will be provided. Find out what’s happening at your library at www.tbscottlibrary.org, @TBScottFreeLibrary on Facebook, or by calling 715-536-7191.
