On Sunday, Nov. 18, the Merrill football team held their annual year end banquet. At the banquet six awards were presented to players in both sides of the ball.
Rob Oestreich won the Buck Award, Quinn Steckbauer won the Mike Hill Memorial Award, Holden Smith won the Lucas Anderson Memorial Award, Dominic Leistikow won Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP went to Jackson Vander Velde and Special Teams Player of the Year was Tyler Wolff.
Under first year head coach Rob Klug the Jays finished with an overall record of 2-7 and missed the playoffs.
