Demolition of a former storage and office building once utilized by Wisconsin Public Service Corp. on the Wisconsin River front near Park Street, is expected to wrap up early next week.
The project has been an ongoing process beginning several weeks ago, and actual demolition of the buildings began last week. According to WPS Senior Communications Specialist, the building was once used to house machinery and equipment as well as provide office space for company operations in the Merrill area, but has since been consolidated at the WPS Service Center on East Main Street.
The company has yet to decide on what will become of the property once the project is complete.
