Merrill Police reports

October 22
7:47 p.m.- An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver was found to have two warrants for her arrest. The female was taken into custody and transported to the jail.

October 23
3:16 p.m.- An officer responded to the Probation and Parole office. They wanted a male party to be administered the breath test to see if he had been consuming alcohol. The result was positive and the male was arrested for a probation violation and was transported to the jail.

October 24
7:18 a.m.- A caller reported someone had stolen his bicycle sometime overnight.
1:48 p.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
6:47 p.m.- A Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop just north of Merrill. The deputy requested K9 Eros at the traffic stop for a drug sniff. Eros alerted on the vehicle to the odor of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver and passenger were arrested for possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia.

October 25
1:36 p.m.- A caller reported finding a hypodermic needle/syringe lying on the side of the roadway. An officer collected the needle and disposed of it.
3:31 p.m.- A caller reported someone used his debit card without his permission. Investigation is ongoing.
