The leaves will all be on the ground before we know it and it is time to think about Merrill’s annual “Make A Difference Day.” The 23rd year of the event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27.
Groups, businesses, organizations, families, and individuals are encouraged to come together and rake yards for those in the community that cannot do it for themselves. Volunteer check in is from 8:30-8:45 a.m., with raking from 9 a.m. until noon, followed by lunch at the Prairie River Middle School cafeteria afterward. Volunteers are also needed to help with registration and lunch.
