ADRC to hold public hearing on aging plan

As the designated area agency on aging, the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin (ADRC-CW) is responsible for creating an aging plan every three years for the counties of Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon and Wood. The plan addresses the needs of older adults and the identified services the agency provides.

As is required, public hearings are conducted by the ADRC-CW to gather feedback from older adults, caregivers, and the public on the draft of the 2019-2021 Aging Plan. The mission of the ADRC-CW is to promote choice and independence through personalized education, advocacy, and access to services that prevent, delay, and lessen the impact of aging and disabilities in the lives of adults.

A public hearing in Lincoln County will be held Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. at the Tomahawk Senior Center, 113 S. Tomahawk Ave., Tomahawk.

Comments can be submitted in person at the public hearings, submitted in writing to ADRC-CW, 220 3rd Ave. South, or emailed to [email protected]. Written comments must be received by Oct. 31.

A draft of the 2019-2021 Aging Plan is available on the ADRC-CW website, www.adrc-cw.org and copies will be available at the public hearings. For additional information, please contact the Aging and Wellness Director Jennifer Cummings RN at 888-486-9545.
