Merrill Police reports

September 21
10:22 a.m.- A female was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
2:50 p.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
3:58 p.m.- A male reported his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of his place of employment. He had left the keys inside and when he came out to leave found the vehicle gone. Surveillance video revealed a male had walked into the lot and stole the vehicle. A short time later Marathon County Sheriff’s Office reported they were involved in a pursuit with the vehicle and the man was arrested for a number of charges.
4:25 p.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
7:27 p.m.- An officer stopped a vehicle for operating without head lamps illuminated and no registration. The officer observed indications of impairment from the driver. The driver performed field sobriety tests and following those was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
8:16 p.m.- An officer stopped a vehicle after observing it weaving in its lane as well as complete and improper stop at a stop sign. The officer observed indications of impairment from the driver. The driver performed field sobriety tests and following those was arrested for operating while intoxicated (3rd offense), as well as for operating after revocation.

September 22
10:02 a.m.- A lawnmower was reported stolen sometime within the past week.
1:07 p.m.- A citizen found a purse on the road and turned it in at the PD. A short time later the owner called to report she had set the purse on top of her vehicle and drove off. The purse was returned to her.
1:55 p.m.- Someone turned in a marijuana pipe to the Fire Dept. that had been found in a park. The pipe was properly disposed of at the Police Dept.

September 23
9:50 p.m.- A caller reported his vehicle stolen which had been parked outside of his daughter’s residence. Investigation continues.
