Merrill High School Homecoming preparations underway

Merrill High School students started preparing for Homecoming Friday with window painting, float building and banner making activities.

Students worked on their class floats and banners at the Merrill Festival Grounds Friday afternoon. The floats will be featured in the homecoming parade on Saturday morning, Sept. 29.

Artists from each class were out in the community Friday afternoon, showing t

heir school spirit on business windows. The Seniors worked on the former Thelma’s building on East Main Street, while the Juniors were out at Culver’s, the Sophomores were at Chip’s and the Freshmen painted the windows of the DuWayne Kreager Insurance Co.

Homecoming activities continue next Monday night with the traditional Powder Puff football game at Jay Stadium, as the Junior girls take on the Senior girls at 7 p.m.
