Merrill Police reports

September 14
4:02 p.m.- An officer responded to a suspicious activity complaint. The caller advised they have noticed a lack of squirrels in their neighborhood and believed they are being poisoned. The caller had no evidence to support this and the officer did not locate anything in the area to verify this information either.

10:32 p.m.- Officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint. The caller advised an intoxicated male party was walking down the sidewalk and began to argue with another male party. Officers arrived on scene to find the two males sitting in a vehicle. Contact was made and the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and an officer located drug paraphernalia. The male driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

September 15
6:28 p.m.- Officers responded to a drug activity complaint. The caller advised they had witnessed suspicious activity and some parties left in a vehicle. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the three parties in the vehicle. One male party had a warrant for his arrest and he was taken into custody. Another male in the vehicle was arrested for a probation violation and resisting arrest. The driver was cited for non-registration of auto. K9 Eros was deployed on the vehicle and made a positive alert. No illegal items were located.

September 16
7:29 p.m.- Officers responded to a wanted person complaint. Officers made contact with a male party at his residence who had a warrant for his arrest through Probation and Parole. The male was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
