Merrill Police reports

September 7
2:39 p.m.- A caller reported the theft of a crystal bowl.
4:24 p.m.- An officer investigated a crash in a parking lot. A crash report will be completed.
4:40 p.m.- An officer investigated a crash on E. 9th St. at Lake St. An estimate for damages will be completed by one driver to determine if a crash report is necessary.
10:13 p.m.- A caller reported a possible domestic disturbance after hearing a female screaming from a residence. It was found the woman had twisted her ankle after falling from a stair and was arguing with her husband as to whether she had broken her ankle or not. She was transported by ambulance to have her ankle assessed.

September 8
12:35 a.m.- A female was cited for disorderly conduct after a caller reported her outside in the 100 block of N. Prospect St. yelling and swearing. An officer had dealt with the woman earlier the previous night as well for a similar complaint.
11:04 a.m.- A caller reported someone had struck her vehicle while it had been parked at the high school and had left the scene.
7:17 p.m.- A store reported they had caught two eight-year-old boys shoplifting from the store. Contact was made with the boys’ parents. The boys were warned for shoplifting and turned over to their parents.
7:40 p.m.- A caller reported a domestic disturbance. It was found a male and female had a verbal argument. During the course of the investigation an officer observed a marijuana pipe. The male took ownership of the pipe and he was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

September 9
6:09 a.m.- A caller reported her neighbor was banging on her door yelling and screaming. The neighbor had been warned in the recent past to leave the caller alone. Contact was made with the neighbor and she was cited for disorderly conduct.
11:39 a.m.- A caller reported finding a baggie of suspected marijuana at a playground. An officer collected the substance and it was found to be dill.
5:25 p.m.- A crash was reported on E. Main St. at Pine Ridge Ave. A vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle. A crash report will be completed.
6:10 p.m.- A caller reported a domestic disturbance after her ex-boyfriend came to her residence and threw a DVD player into an aquarium, threw a television to the floor and stole her cell phone. The ex-boyfriend had left the scene prior to officers’ arrival however he was later located by Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies and arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

September 10
7:35 a.m.- An officer responded to a traffic crash. A semi had struck a traffic light pole taking it down and causing damage to the semi. A crash report will be completed.
