Tomorrow marks the end of the 2018 concert season for the Merrill City Band. The group will perform at the Cenotaph Park (Park Place) beginning at 6 p.m., one hour earlier than usual. The program has something for everyone.
Included on the concert are a few great marches, a well-known waltz and polka, some gospel rock and a little blues, along with “Click Go The Shears,” “Yellow Bird,” “Shadows in the Moonlight,” “I’m A Believer,” the Beatle’s “Yesterday,” a fun little novelty tune, and more, as well as something just for the kids.
Winchester will entertain the crowd before the band concert, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Concessions will be available starting at 4 p.m. Burgers, hot dogs, chips, water, soda and strawberry shortcake will be available from the Band Boosters. And bring a few extra bucks if you want to enter the 50/50 and gift certificate raffle.
Bring a lawn chair and come early to enjoy some great food and listen to the sounds of Winchester and the Merrill City Band.
