A 62-year-old Tomahawk man was injured Tuesday afternoon after a motorcycle crash in the Town of Merrill. The man was traveling south on State Rd. 107 when he lost control at Swede Road and his motorcycle left the roadway. The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and alcohol was not a factor.

A 26-year-old Merrill man was cited after a single vehicle crash early Saturday morning in the Town of Pine River. At 2:44 a.m. the man was traveling south on US Hwy. 51 when he exited at State Rd. 64. The vehicle failed to stop for the stop sign at State Rd. 64, entered the median and became airborne before entering the south ditch and striking the embankment. The man suffered minor injuries but declined an ambulance; he was cited for first offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

A 38-year-old Gleason man was arrested Saturday afternoon on a warrant charge out of Marathon County for a criminal traffic violation.

A 33-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested Sunday evening on a warrant charge. Deputies responded to County Rd. E at County Rd. O after receiving a report of a suspicious person. When located the man was found to have a warrant for failing to appear in Lincoln County Court.

A 21-year-old Merrill woman was arrested Sunday evening on a warrant charge. A deputy stopped a vehicle on State Rd. 17 at Heineman Road at 6:40 p.m. for speeding. A check on the driver showed she was wanted for violating the terms of her probation.

Only two people reported striking deer this past week. A bear was also struck, on Saturday afternoon a Wisconsin Rapids woman struck the bear on US Hwy. 51 south of County Rd. D. The bear was not found after the crash.
