Near record turnout for 9th Annual Fisher’s Bar: ATV/UTV Rally

Last Saturday morning, Fisher’s Bar and Cabin Rental in Gleason hosted their 9th Annual Northwoods ATV/UTV Rally.

Fisher’s has been owned and operated by Jeremy and Jennifer Fisher since 2008 and they credit Al VanStrydonk of Tomahawk-based Erv’s Sales and Service for the event’s debut in June of 2009.

“Al approached us about starting an event to raise awareness about the sport of ATV and UTV off-roading, and to help out our local ATV clubs. We weren’t really sure what to expect the first year, but we ended up drawing about 75 participants which was great!” Jeremy Fisher said.

Since that inaugural event nine years ago, the rally has grown to include over 500 participants last year.

Saturday’s event attendance teased that same attendance estimate, with just over 500 ATV/TV enthusiasts attending throughout the day. Two local ATV clubs were on-hand as well; the Parrish Highlanders and Pel-Cho Mud Nutz.

Saturday’s festivities kicked off with raffle prizes throughout the day, courtesy of local businesses. Additional activities included the annual poker run, cash raffle and free demo rides of various ATV and UTV machines, courtesy of Erv’s Sales and Service.

Then Saturday evening, “The Dukes” returned for their fourth year of providing live entertainment.

“We were excited to host our ninth annual rally this past weekend,” Jeremy adds. “Local ATV clubs raffled off prizes from helmets to gift certificates and hotel stays. We would like to thank everyone who came out to join us this year, we couldn’t be happier with with how everything worked out. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and the turnout was amazing.”
