A 32-year-old Merrill man was arrested Thursday afternoon for violating the terms of his probation. The man rolled his vehicle on State Rd. 107 at County Rd. E in the Town of Rock Falls at around 3:30 p.m. The man was drinking in violation of the terms of his probation which led to his arrest.

A 35-year-old Tomahawk man was cited for a traffic offense after a deputy responded to a crash Saturday morning. The vehicle was found disabled in the construction zone on County Rd. S south of Tomahawk at 1:30 a.m. When a deputy arrived he found the operator passed out behind the wheel. The man was cited for a first offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

The number of car deer crashes remains high with 14 being reported this last week. A hawk was also struck by a vehicle on Saturday, a volunteer took that animal to the Raptor Education Group in Antigo.
