The City of Merrill had a contractor bore into a water main on South Center Avenue on Friday afternoon.
According to Merrill Public Works Director Rod Akey, the leak was repaired Friday evening.
“However, the high velocity of the leak caused the water in our system to pick sediment from inside our main which has caused some areas to experience cloudy water,” Akey explained. “The water is safe to drink. We recommend running your water until clean.”
