Town of Russell Firefighters were called out Sunday night after a fire was reported just outside of Gleason. The fire occurred in an outdoor sauna. Firefighters along with a deputy were on the scene for about an hour.

A 41-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man was arrested early Wednesday morning after a traffic stop in the Town of Merrill. A deputy stopped the vehicle the man was operating for an equipment violation. When a check was run it was found the man was wanted by the Oneida County Sheriff for contempt of court. The man was arrested on the warrant and cited for driving while suspended.

Several road signs were stolen from the Town of Rock Falls this past week. On Wednesday morning the signs were reported missing from Resort Lane, Tug Lake Avenue and Big Hill Road. A 68-year-old Tomahawk man was cited Wednesday after a traffic stop in the Town of King. A deputy stopped the vehicle after he observed it crossing the centerline. The deputy noted signs of impairment and the driver was cited for a first offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated first offense.

Multiple agencies responded to a barn fire Wednesday evening in the Town of Pine River. The fire was reported at a residence in the 1000 block of County Rd. W at 8:45 p.m. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control before the contents of the building were damaged. The barn was used for storage and did not contain any animals. The towns of Pine River, Corning, Russell, Texas, Hewitt and Merrill fire departments all responded along with deputies.

A 34-year-old Merrill man was arrested Thursday morning on a warrant charge. The man appeared in Lincoln County Court and was arrested for an outstanding warrant related to child support.

A 34-year-old Tomahawk woman was arrested Saturday night on a warrant charge. The woman was stopped in the Town of Bradley for an equipment violation and it was found she was wanted by the Oneida County Sheriff for contempt of court. The woman was also cited for operating after revocation.

Nine crashes were reported Saturday during the snow storm. Most occurred on US Hwy. 51 and stretched from County Rd. Q to Tomahawk. None of the crashes involved any injury.

A 29-year-old Merrill man was arrested Sunday evening on a warrant charge. The man flagged down a deputy in the City of Merrill to express his concern about a suspicious person. When a deputy checked on the person who flagged him down he found he was wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for violating the terms of his probation.
