A 49-year-old Gleason man was arrested early Monday morning on charges related to a disturbance. Deputies responded to a residence after the incident was reported just after midnight. The man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery.

A 26-year-old Merrill man was arrested early Monday morning on a criminal traffic charge. A deputy came across a vehicle in the ditch on Hillside Drive at 3:20 a.m. The driver was arrested on a charge of second offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Three people were injured after a two vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon in the Town of Corning. A vehicle being driven by an 81-year-old Medford man was traveling south on Tower Road when it slid through the stop sign and struck a westbound vehicle being driven by a 64-year-old Schofield man. A passenger in that vehicle, a 63-year-old from Wausau, was injured as well as both drivers. They all refused medical transport.

A 33-year-old Gleason man, currently in the Lincoln County Jail, will face a charge of criminal damage to property after he damaged a sprinkler head in the jail on Thursday afternoon.

A 57-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested late Thursday evening on a criminal traffic charge. Deputies found a vehicle in the ditch on County Rd. A just before 10 p.m. The driver displayed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for a third offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. A 41-year-old Tomahawk woman who came to inquire on the man was also cited for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated first offense after deputies found she too was intoxicated.

Two people were taken into custody early Friday evening after a traffic stop in the City of Merrill. A deputy stopped a vehicle being driven by a 28-year-old Tomahawk woman after he recognized the driver and knew she did not have a valid license. A check also showed the woman was wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for violating the terms of her probation. When the K9 Nina alerted the vehicle contained drugs, deputies found marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The woman was booked on charges of two felony counts of bail jumping, felony possession of marijuana as a repeat offender, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia. The passenger, a 28-year-old Merrill man, was arrested on a bail jumping charge and for possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia.

Three people were arrested early Saturday morning after a traffic stop led to methamphetamine. A deputy stopped a vehicle for making an unlawful turn. While the deputy was completing paperwork the K9 Nina indicated the vehicle contained drugs. The driver, a 28-year -old Eagle River man, and a passenger, a 35-year-old Eagle River man, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine. A second passenger, an 18-year-old West Allis woman, was also arrested for possessing methamphetamine after she told an officer she had some hidden in her clothes.

Tomahawk firefighters and deputies responded to a report of a vehicle fire Saturday morning on US Hwy. 51. When deputies arrived the driver of the vehicle told deputies it was a mechanical issue that was producing all the smoke. Just after 2:30 p.m. a second vehicle fire was reported on US Hwy. 51 south of State Rd. 64 in the Town of Pine River. When deputies arrived there they found that a passerby was able to shovel snow into the engine compartment and put out the fire. Pine River firefighters assisted on the scene.

The number of car deer crashes remains at nine for this past week.
