December library outreach events

The Outreach Department at T.B. Scott Library will feature a PG-13 rated holiday adventure film on Friday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m. Get ready for Christmas with Robert De Niro as a widower who decides to visit each of his four busy children over the Yuletide season. Ignoring the advice of his doctor, he sets out to re-kindle a family which has not only grown apart, but scattered to all parts of the U.S. to pursue their careers. What types of surprises will he encounter on this journey of family connection? Popcorn and beverages served during the entire movie. Be sure to call the Merrill-Go-Round bus early for your free ride to and from the library.

Do you have all of your holiday gift shopping done? If not, plan to spend an afternoon on Friday, Dec. 15, at the library from 1–3 p.m. for a few last minute projects and fun coloring ideas! Working on a family gift? Bring it along and finish it while you enjoy fellowship, snacks and share in the holiday spirit. We will have several designs and projects for you to create including placemats, picture frames, door hangers, and bookmarks. Want to color a few special Christmas cards or thank-you notes? Come early for best selection! Free bus rides are also included for this Outreach Event. Call the Merrill-Go-Round to arrange your transportation.
