The winners in the third annual Council Grounds State Park photo contest were announced at the candlelight walk held at the Park on Oct. 28. The top two winners in the four categories are as follows:
People Using The Park: 1st place – Breann Cagle; 2nd place – Roselin Hagedorn
Landscape: 1st place – Joshua Hartwig; 2nd place – Kathy Yahr
Plants: 1st place – Laurie Nikolai-Svetlik; 2nd place – Breann Cagle
Wildlife: 1st place – Debra Bergh; 2nd place – Roselin Hagedorn
There were a lot of great entries and all of the top place winners this year are from Merrill. The photo contest is organized by the Park’s Friends Group and the final winners were determined by public voting. The Friends group invites everyone to come out and enjoy the Park and continue to take photos. Watch for details in the spring about next year’s contest.
