Record shattering season leads to late-season accolades for Kanitz
MHS Sophomore Trinity Kanitz has made a habit of breaking school records this season as a member of the MHS varsity Girls Swim team. Such success has led her to the brink of a possible Division II state championship run next month.
During the Girls’ meet with Marshfield on Thursday October 5, Kanitz broke school records in the 200m Freestyle event with a time of 2:05.61 and the 500m Freestyle event with a time of 5:40.34.
Trinity is also a member of the MHS Forensics Club and competes on the MHS varsity Girls Soccer team in the spring.
Aside from sports, Trinity enjoys reading, taking photographs and shooting video.
Daughter of Brad and Ginger Kanitz of Merrill, Trinity hopes to attend a 4-year University upon graduation and major in Elementary Education with a minor in Photography.
