The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a male motorist who was killed as a result of a one-vehicle rollover Sunday morning in the Town of Schley.
According to information from a media release issued by the Sheriff’s Office; at about 11:30 Sunday morning morning, 62-year old Jeffrey R. Hill of Gleason-was reportedly northbound on STH 17 near old highway 17 in the town of Schley, when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a driveway embankment and rolled over.
Hill was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol does not appear to be be a factor in the crash and Hill was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Responding deputies were assisted at the scene of the crash by the Town of Russell Fire Department. STH 17 was closed for approximately two hours while the crash was investigated.
