Thomas R. Henrichs, age 70, died on, Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Thomas was born on November 5, 1946, to the late Archie and Adela (Luedtke) Henrichs. On February 16, 1971, he married Jean Molitor, a union that lasted for 45 years. Thomas proudly served in the US Navy from 1965 until 1969. He served aboard the USS Topeka during the Vietnam War. Thomas worked several custodial jobs in his early years. He was a member of the Wisconsin Laborers Union Local 1359. In 2010 he and Jean settled in Joplin, Missouri to escape the long, cold Wisconsin winters. His favorite past-time was gambling, in his free time you could find him in his favorite casino. Thomas was a member of the VFW Hopkins Post 425 and the Cooties Pt. 15. He will be sadly missed.
Thomas is survived by his two brothers: LaVerne(Olga) Henrichs of Merrill, WI and James(Bonnie) Henrichs of Lannon, WI; two sister-in-laws: Marlene Henrichs and Jean M. Henrichs, both of Merrill, WI. He is also survived my many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Archie and Adela(Luedtke) Henrichs; one sister: Janet Klade; three brothers: Phillip, Kenneth, and Dennis Henrichs.
A service will be held for Thomas on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11 AM at Waid Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of service also at Waid Funeral Home.Burial will take place following the service at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the Town of Scott. Military honors will be performed by Merrill VFW Post #1638. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas’ name may be made to any VFW Post of your choice.
